Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them.
- Effective date:

2. How we use cookies on this site
We take a privacy-first approach. Only strictly necessary cookies are set automatically. Non-essential technologies (analytics, functional, and marketing) stay off until you turn them on. We do not treat continued browsing as consent.
We currently use one or more non-essential technologies, which load only after you allow the relevant category. You can review and change your choices at any time.
3. Categories we use
We group cookies and similar technologies into four categories:
- Strictly Necessary (always active): Required for the website to function and to remember your cookie choices. These are always active and cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: Help us understand site traffic and performance so we can improve the website. Off until you allow them.
- Functional: Enable optional site features and remember preferences. Off unless needed for a feature you use.
- Marketing: Used for advertising, campaign measurement, or third-party marketing tags. Off until you allow them.
We currently use technologies in the Strictly Necessary and Analytics categories only. We do not use any functional or marketing cookies on this Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and require your consent before any new technologies are loaded.
4. Cookies and technologies we use
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies wired into this website today. Durations are typical values and may vary.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| paa_cookie_consent | Post Acute Analytics (this website)First-party | Strictly NecessaryAlways active | Stores your cookie consent choices (which categories you allowed), plus the consent version and timestamp, so we can honor your preferences and only load non-essential technologies you have permitted. | 180 days |
| Vercel Analytics (aggregated measurement) | Vercel Inc.Third-party | AnalyticsRequires consent | Privacy-friendly, aggregated website analytics used to understand traffic and performance. Loaded only after you allow Analytics cookies. | Cookieless by default (no persistent identifier) |
5. Managing your preferences
You can change your choices at any time. Opening preferences lets you allow or withdraw each non-essential category; strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off because the site relies on them.
Your consent choices are stored in a first-party cookie for about 6 months, after which we will ask again. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.
5a. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing not be tracked. Because there is no industry-wide standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, we do not currently alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals. We do, however, apply our opt-in consent model to all visitors regardless of DNT status — no non-essential technologies load until you explicitly allow them.
5b. Third-party websites and links
This Site contains links to external websites and services (such as LinkedIn and our recruiting provider, Paylocity). When you follow these links, you leave our Site and those third-party websites may set their own cookies and collect information according to their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control those practices and encourage you to review those policies directly.
